Association information

The TCICAA (Turks and Caicos Islands Civil Aviation Authority) is the statutory body responsible for aviation regulatory oversight throughout the Turks & Caicos Islands and for aircraft registered on the Turks & Caicos Island Aircraft Registry. The Authority is comprised of various divisions that specifically regulate and license aerodromes, aviation personnel, aircraft maintenance organizations, conduct aircraft airworthiness surveys.

Our head office is located in the Nations Capital of Grand Turk. We also maintain a office at the Providenciales International Airport which is the gateway to the Turks & Caicos Islands hence the need for a strong presents and oversight.

Our qualified staff are dedicated to providing regulatory oversight to ensure the safety of the Turks & Caicos Islands aviation industry and for aircraft registered in the Turks & Caicos Islands.

TCICAA is dedicated to providing regulatory oversight to ensure the safety of the Turks & Caicos Islands aviation industry and for aircraft listed on the Turks & Caicos Islands Aircraft Registry, and to provide guidance to the country in the development of aviation policy as appropriate.

Aviation is a key driver of growth in the Turks and Caicos Islands, but without tackling its environmental impact, both globally and locally, it will not be able to fully realise its economic potential, the TCICAA has set the foundations to meet its strategic ambition to develop its existing expertise to help aviation to improve its environmental performance.

As part of its work to meet its environmental ambition, the TCICAA has set out goals for its work:

  • To contribute to a cleaner and quieter aviation industry.
  • To improve airspace design through new operational measures.
  • To enhance consumer understanding by making information available to help them assess their environmental impact when choosing their flight.
  • To influence the environment debate.
