James Hanson

James Hanson is a senior consultant with extensive experience in the aviation and air traffic management industry. James principally works in the areas of SES legislation, ATM operations and equipment standardisation. James has led, or contributed to, a diverse range of technical and strategic projects and also various training and awareness assignments. James current work includes: providing a secretariat to the Industry Consultation Body (ICB) interoperability sub-group; developing conformity assessment guidelines on behalf of EUROCONTROL; developing surveillance (ADS-B) standards as part of the international Requirements Focus Group (RFG); and managing a safety awareness initiative for EUROCONTROL to improve pilot and controller communications. James joined Helios with a background in avionic systems engineering which instilled a strong understanding of systems engineering principles and is evident in much of his work to date.
