EUROCONTROL - SESAR PJ02 – Increased runway and airport throughput – Integration of Airport Capacity Assessment Tool and ADC Web Application.


PJ02 addresses situations of over-demand on capacity-constrained airports related to the optimisation of ground management and separation minima, addressing constraints such as weather, environment, noise, runway configuration, mixed mode operations, surveillance and traffic mix, with a view to optimising airport operations with existing infrastructure, improving safety and environment.

The EUROCONTROL Network Manager uses an in-house developed software tool that assesses the runway throughput. The purpose of this software tool is to support the statistical analysis and modelling of key performance indicators related to Airport Operations. The tool, called PIATA NEO, consists of several modules for Airport Configuration, Airport Analysis, Modelling and TMA analysis.

EUROCONTROL has developed an Automated Data Collection (ADC) Web Application to allow the collection of data in an automated way. The main scope of this contract is the full integration of the Airport Capacity Assessment Tool PIATA NEO into the ADC Web Application.
