AVTECH and Tern Systems to Demonstrate Operational Data Exchange Between Airspace Users and ATM Systems at Airspace World
AVTECH and Tern Systems will demonstrate at Airspace World next week how operational data exchange between Airspace Users and ATM systems can create additional operational value—supporting better decision-making, improved shared situational awareness, and reduced workload—with the ultimate goal of enabling safer and more efficient airspace operations.
In a live demonstration in Tern Systems' Nexus Information System, the companies will showcase how AVTECH data can be integrated directly into the controller working environment. The demo will include turbulence and high-resolution weather data as well as trajectory preferences shared by Airspace Users. This provides air traffic controllers (ATCOs) with more context when assessing traffic situations and supports more informed and efficient decision-making.
"At AVTECH, we're committed to bringing next‑generation airspace concepts into day‑to‑day operations. By collaborating with partners like Tern Systems to embed high‑value operational data into the air traffic control workflow, we enable shared situational awareness and better coordination across the airspace. The result is added operational value for airlines using our connected ClearPath in‑flight optimization service," said David Rytter, CEO of AVTECH.
"By integrating turbulence and weather information, along with Airspace User preferences, into the controller working environment through the Nexus ATM Information System, we demonstrate how relevant operational data can improve decision-making and contribute to reducing workload," said Urszula Kasperska, Product Manager at Tern Systems.
