The contract win will utilise NATS’ expertise to advance towards ‘Kuwait Vision 2035’.
Today, NATS, the UK’s leading air navigation service provider has announced the signing of a major contract with the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Kuwait after a competitive tender process.
The contract will see NATS support DGCA with its aviation growth ambitions as mapped out in delivery of the ‘Kuwait Vision 2035’ plan. Together, a technology roadmap will be developed to outline the technologies and services needed for the future.
The partnership will see Kuwait adopt world-class solutions that are proven to enhance operational and management efficiency and increase capacity, whilst strengthening the capabilities of national personnel across engineering and Air Traffic Control, alongside Air Traffic Management (ATM) and Airspace Modernisation programmes.
Martin Rolfe, CEO at NATS said: “I am delighted to be building upon the long-standing relationship of our two nations; I am incredibly proud to see our expertise and solutions are being recognised across the globe. We highly value the trust that DGCA are putting in NATS as their partner and look forward to playing our part in Kuwait achieving its aviation growth ambitions.
NATS will have a significant local presence in Kuwait, working closely with the DGCA to shape and deliver the proposed work.
