NATS launches new digital stand management tool to transform airport operations

- International Airport Summit, Berlin, Germany.

NATS have announced the full market launch of Intelligent Stand Manager, its groundbreaking stand allocation solution, at the International Airport Summit in Berlin.

Developed in partnership with Searidge Technologies, Intelligent Stand Manager represents a major step forward in airport digitalisation, enabling operators to move from reactive stand planning to proactive, data-driven optimisation.

Stand planning has long been one of the most complex challenges for airports, with thousands of variables changing every second. Intelligent Stand Manager transforms this process by harnessing advanced algorithms and predictive analytics to deliver dynamic stand plans that automatically adapt to real-time events. Plans are recalculated in minutes, not hours, helping airports to reduce delays, improve punctuality, and enhance the passenger experience.

Built on Searidge’s pioneering Chorus platform, Intelligent Stand Manager connects seamlessly with other airport, airline and air traffic systems, meaning it can respond in real-time to operational events and scheduling changes. Airport teams can also pose ‘what-if scenarios,’ allowing them to test different plans, maximise airfield capacity and better manage the impact of disruption.

Kemal Ahmed, Head of Product Management at NATS Services, said: “We know stand planning is a pinch point for airport and airline operators around the world and believe Intelligent Stand Manager is a game-changer. By combining decades of operational air traffic expertise with cutting-edge technology, we’re enabling airports to operate more efficiently, more sustainably, and with even greater resilience.”

Earlier this year, Intelligent Stand Manager was named “Data Solution of the Year for Transportation” at the prestigious Data Breakthrough Awards, emphasising its role as a transformative tool for the aviation sector.
